The 1040 (known as the Pelican 1040 in the US) comes with a carabiner for convenient attachment and has a rubber liner which provides protection and also acts as the o-ring seal. The case is waterproof, dustproof and crushproof – and is also covered by the legendary Peli Lifetime Guarantee.
