The HPE LTO-9 Ultrium Data Cartridge (Q2079A) is a high-density, enterprise-grade tape solution designed for large-scale backups and long-term archiving. It offers 18 TB of native capacity and up to 45 TB compressed (2.5:1), delivering industry-leading storage in a single cassette. Built on durable barium-ferrite (BaFe) media with 8,960 data tracks, it supports up to 1,000 MB/s read speed (on full-height drives) and features AES-256 hardware encryption for secure data protection. With a tape length of 1,035 m, a rated 30-year archival life, and an HPE limited lifetime warranty, it’s an ideal choice for mission-critical, long-term data retention.
